Follow up on Riparian Restoration Done on It's My Park Day

Saturday, November 16th, 2019 from 9:00am to 12:00pm (CT)

About

This Saturday, we will add touches to make our accomplishments of the last two weekends more lasting:
  • Our main focus will be to add native plants. We will even have areas where kids can help with this. I will have some plants ready to plant. If we have enough people, we will transplant others from areas destined to become the next segment of the Northern Walnut Creek Trail.
  • Water the plants we've already planted.
  • Continue girdling ligustrums. (We have plenty still to kill.)
  • Anchor our barriers in place.
Come on out and join us! I still have a few KIND bars to keep your energy levels up.

Requirement Details
Children under 13 must be accompanied by a parent. You won't be working in the same areas where we will be doing heavier work.

Be sure to dress for the weather. Sturdy shoes are a must, and it's wise to wear long pants.

Bring a bottle of water to stay hydrated!
Perks
I will spring for a box of KIND bars to help you keep your energy going!
Parking Details
The parking lot by the swimming pool is the closest to our starting point. If it is full, there are other parking lots within a short walk and curbside parking is allowed unless otherwise marked.

Only one other tip: If it isn't paved, don't park there.
